Community School - Family Resource Center

Makenzie Sanchez, Community School Coordinator

My name is Makenzie Sanchez, I am your Community School Coordinator, located in the FRC at room 201. A little bit about me, I am both a Grant and Sandia High School alum, and most recently a graduate from Northern Arizona University with a B.S. in Biology. My interest in community partnerships began when I was a freshman in high school. I interned with the Youth Conservation Corps in Albuquerque where I assisted in building partnerships and coalitions throughout the city for Valle de Oro National Wildlife Refuge in the South Valley, as well as Sandia High School, and many environmental justice organizations here in ABQ and AZ  years after. That internship sparked my passion for connecting our local community organizations, businesses, schools, and individuals to find common values and assist each other to complete goals to better our city and help our community members.

Grant Middle School is a community school. We are proud to be a hub for our school and its community. Family support for Grant MS families and other families in the APS Educational Zone 4 through Food Bank, Clothing Bank, School supplies, etc.
