Principal's Message

Dear Parents,

Second semester is moving very quickly and as we get closer to spring, I would like to offer some suggestions to help you navigate your child’s success.

Our 3rd nine week progress reports were sent out with your student’s current grades. Please talk to your student, emphasizing your support and continue to help them as needed. We offer tutoring in our after school programs, along with morning library time from 7:30-8:00. Monitor your child’s progress in ParentVue and continue to e-mail teacher for a more personal response. Check your child’s agenda for assignments and monitor behavior, using their accountability card.

This gives you a clear snapshot of how they are doing on a daily basis. Finally, sit down with your student and have them show you their binder. This provides a clear picture of their organizational skills and how they are managing their classroom assignments and finished work. Following these suggestions will provide you and your child an opportunity to talk about their day and you a better understanding of their daily school life.

Middle school is and can be a very challenging time for students and parents alike. Keeping up with their progress takes time and effort. However, I can assure you, it is time well spent. If you need further assistance, contract the main office at 299-2113 ext.30501. We will always be available to help make these middle years more productive.
